Assistant Manager, Budget & Payables

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Manager for their Real Estate and Administration division.

This role is pivotal in supporting the company's core functions by implementing innovative, cost-effective and customer-centric systems and processes. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing budget monitoring and accounts payable activities within the division. Your role will ensure timely payment processing, financial compliance, budget control and vendor relationship management. You will also oversee financial reporting, system optimisation, and process improvements.

Key qualifications and experience required for the Assistant Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Master’s degree in above fields is preferred
  • Specialised certifications in finance, accounting or budget management are an added advantage
  • 4–6 years of experience in financial management, accounts payable or budget administration
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in SAP Concur Invoice or similar financial management systems
  • Experience in budget control, accounts reconciliation and vendor management

Key duties of the Assistant Manager:

  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable process ensuring compliance with financial policies
  • Review and reconcile vendor advances for accurate financial records
  • Coordinate mid-year budget recasting and prepare end-of-year accruals list
  • Act as primary liaison for CONCUR Invoice support
  • Develop a vendor balance monitoring system
  • Oversee preparation of end-of-year accrual reports
  • Review travel-related expenses, payments and budgets
  • Monitor budget allocations across multiple projects
  • Oversee daily activities of Budget & Payables team
  • Handle complex inquiries from staff, vendors and service providers
