What you'll do:
As a Demand and Supply Planning - Business Analyst, your role will be integral in shaping the company's inventory, production, and supply chain decisions. You will be responsible for developing robust statistical models for product demand forecasting based on various factors such as historical sales data, market trends, and business intelligence. Your expertise in using forecasting software will be crucial in generating both short-term and long-term demand forecasts. You will also play a key role in developing supply plans that meet forecasted demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels. Your collaborative skills will be put to good use as you work with procurement and production teams to align supply plans with production schedules.
- Develop and maintain statistical models to forecast product demand based on historical sales data, market trends, and business intelligence.
- Utilise forecasting software and tools to generate short-term and long-term demand forecasts.
- Continuously monitor and update forecast models to improve accuracy and reliability.
- Develop and implement supply plans to meet forecasted demand, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to align supply plans with production schedules.
- Monitor supply chain performance and address any issues or disruptions.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in product demand.
- Perform root cause analysis on forecast errors.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data.

You are well-versed with forecasting software and data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI. Your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills enable you to navigate complex scenarios with ease. You possess strong communication and presentation skills, allowing you to effectively convey insights to stakeholders.
