Chief Accountant

A global leading FMCG business is looking to hire a Chief Accountant, based in Maputo, Mozambique. The Chief Accountant will be responsible for leading and managing the reporting & accounting function, developing and implementing reporting plans as well as policies and procedures. The role is open to local/non-local residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Reporting & Accounting function
• Manage and control the production of key financial statements
• Implement plans, policies, and procedures
• Ensure compliance with accounting and reporting rules
• Produce periodic management reports
• Manage staff
• Supervise and control all financial reporting activities

Job Requirements:

• A degree in Finance/Accounting
• Minimum 9 years of relevant working experience
• Open to local/non-local residents
• CA(SA), ACCA, CPA, CIMA qualifications preferred
• Prior experience within the FMCG industry is non-negotiable
