An exceptional financial services firm, known for its dynamic product range and ability to access Africa's extensive untapped retail financial markets, is actively seeking a 2IC to Group Chief Executive Officer to join their growing business based in Johannesburg.

Joining the “engine-room” of this reputable and thriving business, the primary objective for the 2IC to Group CEO will be to oversee the Group's daily operations. This includes guiding and steering the organisation's strategic growth, fulfilling business plan targets, and meeting annual objectives.

This role necessitates someone with a strong combination of high IQ and EQ, the ability to excel under pressure, a demonstrated work ethic and adaptability, determination, self-assured confidence as well as effective influence and persuasive skills. Key qualifications and experience required for the 2IC to Group Chief Executive Officer:

• Post-graduate degree in a relevant field (MBA, CA(SA); LLB etc.) – NB
• Minimum 10 years post-qualified experience in a similar role or organisation
• Industry exposure: Financial services, specifically Private Equity, Corporate Finance or Property Funds
• Proven track record of leadership experience in a managerial role
• Experience in Loan Book and Property Management (advantageous)
• Previous exposure to Africa or a similar emerging market is highly beneficial

Key duties of the 2IC to Group Chief Executive Officer:

• Advancing and enhancing the Group’s businesses throughout its operational countries, encompassing the property portfolio. This encompasses:
• Formulating and refining strategies on both group and country levels.
• Identifying, evaluating, and suggesting novel business ventures and opportunities.
• Contributing inputs for group and country budgeting.
• Recognising and mitigating risks.
• Proposing enhancements to infrastructure and operational systems.
• Enhancing organisational development and efficiency.

• Actively contributing to the expansion of the organisation’s skill set.
• Participating in the growth, development, and maintenance of the organisation’s intellectual assets and capabilities.

• Assimilating the Company and Group’s organisational culture and contributing to its ongoing evolution.
