Our client is seeking a highly skilled Manager for Construction and Assurance to join their dynamic team in Cairo. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide independent, objective assurance, advice, insight, and foresight relating to construction and project management activities. What you'll do:

As a Manager for Construction and Assurance, your role will involve providing independent assurance, advice, insight, and foresight relating to construction and project management activities. You will develop plans for individual internal audit assignments, execute assigned audit projects, factually report audit findings with practical recommendations, conduct follow-up reviews to validate the implementation of agreed MAPs, maintain quality work paper documentation, and serve as a subject-matter expert to management. Your ability to manage complex multi-year construction projects across various jurisdictions will be crucial in ensuring compliance with local industry regulations, practices, standards, and contracts.

  • Develop plans for individual internal audit assignments to identify and assess material risks relevant to the audited project/activity
  • Execute assigned audit projects relating to the Bank’s construction and project risk management activities
  • Factually report audit findings/observations with practical recommendations or agreed management action plans
  • Conduct follow up reviews to validate the implementation of agreed MAPs and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Maintain quality work paper documentation that clearly indicates the comprehensive work done
  • Serve as subject-matter expert to management, providing advice, insights, and foresights on related risks and controls

What you bring:

As the ideal candidate for the Manager Construction and Assurance role, you bring a wealth of experience in construction/project management. You hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering or other construction-related fields from a recognised University along with relevant professional qualifications. Your minimum of 8 years of experience has equipped you with strong analytical skills including conducting audits in an automated environment. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills in English enable you to build compelling business cases.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other construction-related fields from a recognised University
  • Relevant professional qualifications in Construction or Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction/project management
  • Experience in auditing, quality control, supervising and managing complex multi-year construction projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong analytical skills including conducting audits in an automated environment
