Our client is seeking a Client Relationship Manager for their CIB Department. This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of the New Business Development Team, where your primary responsibility will be attracting new assets and liabilities in line with targets allocated, building a new portfolio. You will have the chance to acquire new corporate customers according to the Bank's credit risk appetite and maintain and expand relationships with clients on-boarded.

What you'll do:

As a Client Relationship Manager in the Corporate and Institutional Banking Department, you will play a pivotal role in attracting new assets and liabilities, building a robust portfolio. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include acquiring new corporate customers, completing applications for new facilities, performing financial analysis, and being the main point of contact for client requirements. You will also have the opportunity to market to both new and existing clients while maintaining and expanding relationships.

  • Attracting new assets and liabilities in line with targets allocated
  • Building a new portfolio of corporate customers
  • Completing paper and electronic applications for new facilities, as well as annual review
  • Performing financial analysis, market and industry risk assessments
  • Being the point of contact with regards to clients requirements
  • Marketing to new clients, as well as existing clients
  • Maintaining and expanding relationships with clients on boarded

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Client Relationship Manager role will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from their previous roles in Corporate Banking. With a minimum of 8 years' experience in the field, particularly in the Corporate loan market, you are well-versed in attracting new assets and liabilities. Your problem-solving skills allow you to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a strong work ethic. As a highly motivated, self-driven individual who values teamwork, you are ready to make a significant impact on our client's business.

  • Relevant university BCom/Finance degree
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related fields from Top 5 SA Universities
  • Registered FAIS Representative status
  • Minimum 8 years Corporate Banking experience, particularly in the Corporate loan market
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong work ethic
  • Highly motivated, self-driven individuality
  • Team player mentality
