An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Client Relationship Manager (CIB) to join a dynamic team within the CIB Department. This role is based in Johannesburg and offers the chance to develop and maintain relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients, while also expanding this client base through tailored marketing strategies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to achieving quarterly and annual targets, demonstrating their excellent skills

What you'll do:

As a Client Relationship Manager (CIB), you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining relationships with an allocated portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for acquiring new corporate customers in line with the bank's credit risk appetite, as well as expanding your client base through the marketing of both assets and liabilities. Your role will also involve sourcing and marketing new potential clients, contributing to the achievement of quarterly and annual targets. Your success in this role will be underpinned by your excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, motivation, and precision in your work.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients on allocated portfolio
  • Acquire new Corporate customers according to the bank's credit risk appetite
  • Expand allocated client base through marketing of both assets and liabilities with tailored solutions
  • Source and market new potential clients
  • Assist in obtaining quarterly and annual targets
  • Ensure accurate completion of work with good communication and interpersonal skills

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Client Relationship Manager (CIB) role will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. With a degree in Accounting, Finance or other related fields from one of South Africa's top universities, you will have at least three years' experience in Corporate Banking within the local market. Your registered FAIS Representative status will complement your knowledge of AML, FICA, Company's Act, Banks Act, as well as any other high-risk legislations affecting the banking environment. Your ability to analyse and evaluate company financial statements will be crucial in this role, along with your ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Your analytical skills will be key in assessing risk.

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related fields from Top 5 SA Universities
  • Registered FAIS Representative status
  • Minimum 3 years Corporate Banking experience in the local market
  • Knowledge of AML, FICA, Company's Act, Banks Act, as well as any other high risk legislations affecting the banking environment
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate company financial statements
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Ability to analyse and assess risk
