Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Manager for their Trade Finance & Correspondent Banking division. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth and diversification of African trade, by originating, structuring, processing, executing and monitoring trade finance transactions. The successful candidate will play a key role in making our client the Correspondent Bank of choice for all partner issuing financial institutions in member states.
What you'll do:
As a Manager in Trade Finance & Correspondent Banking, your role will be multifaceted. You will coordinate with various teams within the organisation to acquire new trade clients that align with our client's credit appetite. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be utilised as you manage the existing trade portfolio and drive business growth. You will also facilitate all activities related to the execution of new trade facilities, ensuring that they align with our client's business strategy. Your strong analytical skills will come into play as you generate internal management reports through research and data collection.

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Manager - Trade Finance & Correspondent Banking role brings a wealth of experience and knowledge. With at least 8 years experience in a leading organisation, you have developed a deep understanding of major trade finance products including syndications, co-financing, club deals, and correspondent banking products such as letters of credit. Your first and postgraduate degrees in Business Administration, Banking or Finance provide you with a solid foundation for this role. A professional qualification in Banking or International Trade Finance would be an added advantage. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills in French will be crucial in this role.
