Investment Associate (Investment Management)

A leading holding diversified Company, operating in the Food and Beverage, and logistics sectors of the economy is looking for an Investment Associate to join their team. The Investment Associate will have an opportunity to be involved with all aspects of the investment process and be responsible for sourcing and qualifying new investment prospects through company, market, and industry research.

Responsibilities :

Deal origination and execution:

  • Prepare high quality comprehensive financial models and investment memos to support the company’s understanding of new investment and business opportunities.
  • Support due diligence of investment opportunities and manage various stakeholders on the transactions.
  • Prepare relevant internal and external documents required to inform relevant stakeholders on the investment opportunities.
  • Support transaction execution workstreams as required.

Portfolio Management:

  • Provide competitive analysis on portfolio companies’ market offerings and stay updated on market trends.
  • Provide financial advisory support to portfolio companies where required.
  • Develop and maintain investment models, portfolio data, and supporting analytics.
  • Collate, review and query portfolio companies’ monthly management accounts.

Strategy Review and Development:

  • Assist in the development and review of strategy for the Company and its portfolio companies.
  • Support the review of annual budgets and medium to long-term plans.
  • Champion agreed strategies at the Company and portfolio level


The successful candidate must have strong financial & strategic analysis and excellent verbal & written communication skills gained (preferably) from private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or strategy consulting.

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with concentrations in highly analytical fields such as Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related fields.
  • Post-graduate qualification, Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Financial Analyst designation is an added advantage. ▪ Outstanding academic record.
  • 4-5 years of work experience, particularly in research, capital-raising, origination, executing, and monitoring of investments.
  • Ability to develop complex financial models, perform financial analysis, company valuations, and comparable company analyses.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative and critically analyze processes and procedures.
