Corporate Treasury Manager

Our client, a leading pan-African payments company, is looking for an experienced Corporate Treasury Manager to join their team in Kenya. This key role involves overseeing treasury functions and optimizing financial operations. Responsibilities include managing corporate liquidity, operational payments, debt finance tracking, and cash flow projections, as well as comprehensive management of bank and wallet accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage corporate liquidity by analysing cash flow trends and forecasting future cash needs.
  • Develop strategies to optimise cash utilisation across different business units.
  • Prepare operating cash flow projections to support strategic decision-making.
  • Track and process operational payments, ensuring timely and accurate payments to stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of debt instruments and ensure compliance with financial covenants.
  • Manage relationships with banking partners and payment service providers.
  • Identify financial risks associated with liquidity and currency fluctuations.
  • Implement treasury policies to enhance financial governance within the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CTP) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate treasury management or finance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of liquidity management practices, payment processing systems, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling and reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in treasury management systems and advanced Excel capabilities.
