Associate Banker

Our client is looking for an Associate Banker to join their team in Senegal, who will support all stages of the project life cycle — from origination to monitoring — for debt, equity, and policy dialogue initiatives. Working under the guidance of senior bankers, they assist in project structuring, due diligence, execution, and post-signing supervision while contributing to business development and client engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Project Execution: Support transaction structuring, due diligence (financial, market, integrity, compliance), and preparation of financial models, term sheets, and approval documents.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Oversee project implementation and performance, ensure compliance with agreements, and prepare monitoring reports with recommendations.

  • Technical Cooperation (TC): Manage TC assignments to align with investment or policy project timelines and donor requirements.

  • Business Development: Contribute to client relationship management, marketing, and pipeline development.

  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively in project teams and mentor junior staff where needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

  • Professional Certification: ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA desirable.

  • Skills: Strong financial modelling, credit analysis, and quantitative skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office; fluent in English and French.

  • Experience: Background in banking, investment, private equity, asset management, or financial consulting; exposure to full transaction life cycles and regional market knowledge preferred.
