Group Reporting Manager

A fast-growing financial services company close to the Somerset West area, is seeking a Group Reporting Manager to join their team and support their operations across Zambia, Tanzania, and South Africa.

The new Group Reporting Manager will own the group reporting function and contribute to financial management, helping to build and improve financial structures. The role encompasses designing, implementing, and maintaining reporting structures that support the finance department, business, and clients. It includes financial management of the group's holding company and leadership of a team of four members.

As a fast-growing company passionate about African business, this role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of that growth, with flexibility for occasional travel to various operational regions. Success in this role involves a thorough understanding of the business, development and documentation of the financial control environment, and effective management of group-wide reporting, audits, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key qualifications for the Group Reporting Manager:

  • Qualified CA(SA) with 1-2 years of post-article experience (Essential)
  • Experience in a reporting role
  • Enthusiasm for Africa and a willingness to work in a developing world context

Key duties for the Group Reporting Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Design, implement, and maintain reporting structures to support the finance department, business, and clients
  • Gain a holistic understanding of the business
  • Further develop the financial control environment
  • In charge of group-wide reporting including timelines, format, and consolidation
  • Manage group audits and budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Handle financial management for one legal entity
  • Lead and manage a team of four finance professionals
  • Effectively manage the finances of the group’s holding company
  • Maintain and tailor finance software
