Our client, a renowned global organization specializing in alternative asset, fund administration and corporate services solutions, is currently seeking an Associate Director based in Cape Town. The ideal candidate for the role of Associate Director role should hold the designation of CA(SA) along with 7 years post qualification experience. In this position, you will be focused on maintaining client relationships and ensuring that the revenues of the client portfolio grow in volume and profitability.

Key Qualifying Criteria:

• CA(SA) designation
• 7 years post-qualification experience in a managerial capacity
• Fund industry experience is essential
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and related accounting frameworks
• US GAAP (Investment Funds) experience
• Computer literacy in the following programs: MS Office, CaseWare, Pastel/Xero

Key Duties:

• The successful candidate must possess the ability to comprehend clients' needs and align the organization's service offerings accordingly.
• They must translate client requirements into the organization to ensure timely and complete delivery.
• Additionally, the candidate must ensure that all internal processes within the function are correctly executed to meet promises and commitments made to clients.
• The candidate must provide high-quality and billable advice to clients through hourly billing only, excluding regular client work.
• They must also train and coach team members under their supervision or working on their client portfolio.
• Furthermore, the candidate must review deliverables from production teams in Mauritius or South Africa on a risk-based approach, including but not limited to annual financial statements, interim financial statements, monthly management accounts, taxes, and fact sheets.
• Additionally, they will work on complex assignments such as technical accounting matters, consolidations, and restructuring.
