What you'll do:
As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial processes across various investment funds. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and an ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Review and authorise financial transactions across Funds under management.
- Oversee the delivery of accounting and tax services for the Funds.
- Manage Fund financial administration processes including annual budget, audit, tax and reporting.
- Implement and enhance business/finance policies when required.
- Manage the preparation of monthly management accounts for Funds and associated entities.
- Manage the annual audit processes including audit delivery and investigation of any findings across Funds.
- Manage the tax affairs of Funds including, Income Tax, VAT, Provisional Tax and Capital Gains.
- Proactively manage financial risks for Funds and ensure mitigating actions are implemented.
- Support the financial setup of new Funds.
- Assist with the digital strategy implementation on new systems adopted by the business.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate should hold a CA(SA) qualification and have 0-2 years post articles experience in related roles. This role requires a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
- CA(SA) BCom (Accounting) (CTA) qualification is essential.
- 0-2 years post articles experience in related role(s).
- Experience with IRFS exposure related to Financial services Valuations is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of Financial Management is required.
- Experience in Audit is necessary.
- Knowledge of Financial Administration is crucial.
- Understanding of Taxation principles is important.
- Experience in Risk Management is advantageous.
- Resource Planning skills are beneficial.
- Understanding of Corporate Governance principles is desirable.
