Investment Specialist

An independent global asset manager is looking for a driven and customer-orientated Investment Specialist to join their expanding team in Cape Town or Durban.

As the Investment Specialist, your primary objective will be to drive sales and brand awareness, maintaining and increasing net flows into the business’s local and global funds.

The Investment Specialist position calls for a confident and self-motivated individual who demonstrates a high degree of professionalism, self-management and integrity, with a strong focus on delivering results and promoting the firm’s values.

Key qualifications and experience required for the Investment Specialist:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject matter (i.e., investments or finance)
• CFA (with any levels or all 3)
• 5 years' experience in Collective Investments environment
• Experience in Unit Trust specialisation
• Proven track record of client relationship experience

Key duties of the Investment Specialist:

• Develop strategies to maintain positive net flows and mitigate the impact of redemptions
• Implement distribution strategies to enhance net flows through internal and external advice channels
• Provide support to Distribution Services to drive additional sales into funds through their clients
• Develop and execute strategies to bolster support with Discretionary Fund Managers (DFMs) and multi-managers
• Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to craft compelling messaging and promotional materials
• Represent the firm at industry events, seminars and other public forums
