Financial Data Integrity Analyst

One of the top wealth managers in South Africa is looking for a meticulous and dedicated Financial Data Integrity Analyst to join their dynamic team in Cape Town.

As the Financial Data Integrity Analyst, your primary focus will be on maintaining the accuracy and reliability of client's financial data. In this role, your skills in error correction, cost calculation and data analysis will be highly valued.

This position requires an individual who is highly analytical and data-driven, with strong expertise in overseeing the finance and accounting aspects of investment planning.

Key qualifications and experience required for the Financial Data Integrity Analyst:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject matter (i.e., finance, investments or accounting)
  • 3 years’ experience within a LISP is essential (investment and planning environment)
  • Knowledge of financial products and processes (i.e., discretionary funds, retirement annuities, endowment policies)
  • Strong understanding of tax and accounting
  • Ability to understand and work with data will be instrumental
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages and LISP software

Key duties of the Financial Data Integrity Analyst:

  • Precisely determine the financial impact of mistakes and provide clients with accurate tax reports promptly
  • Correct errors as needed and manage spontaneous requests for cost assessments
  • Engage in testing activities to verify that all parts are working correctly
  • Record errors and bugs, ensuring timely and precise feedback on test outcomes
  • Help identify potential mistakes in advance and perform essential data integrity checks
  • Examine and resolve integration problems related to data reconciliations
  • Support tax data testing for both annual and provisional filings
  • Perform daily checks to ensure the integrity of processed transactions

Key personal skills:

  • Strong administration skills coupled with numeric ability
  • Excellent time management skills along with process adherence and coordination abilities
  • Good people skills paired with a client-serving nature
