SAIPA Accountant

Our client is seeking a SAIPA Accountant to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a leading financial institution, where you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including financial reporting, accounting, VAT and Income Tax calculations, and year-end processes. What you'll do:

As a SAIPA Accountant, your primary role will involve preparing balance sheet recons for various companies, compiling monthly reports for investors, assisting with the preparation of board packs for group company meetings, and providing valuable input towards the improvement of financial reports

• Prepare Balance Sheet Recons for the companies
• Compile monthly reports for investors
• Assist with preparation of board packs for board meetings of group companies
• Provide input to the improvement of financial reports
• Preparation of the VAT and Income Tax calculation and returns
• Processing on Pastel e.g. Journals
• Downloading of reports on Pastel e.g. Management Accounts
• Processing of travel and forex reconciliations
• Allocations, processing and reconciliation of corporate credit cards
• Debtors and creditors reconciliation

• BCom Accounting with SAIPA Articles
• Strong Academic Record
• Proven experience in financial reporting and accounting
• Proficiency in using Pastel software
• Experience in VAT and Income Tax calculations
• Ability to handle debtors and creditors reconciliation effectively
• Experience in handling year-end processes & budgets
• Strong attention to detail
