The AATCs aim to bridge trade and market information gaps, promote intra- and extra-African trade, catalyze value addition and export manufacturing, and drive economic transformation across Africa.
The Manager, African Trade Center Global (Finance) will serve as the Chief Finance Officer (CFO), overseeing financial planning, budgeting, investment analysis, and financial operations for the African Trade Center Global (ATC Global) portfolio. This role ensures financial sustainability, risk management, and regulatory compliance while supporting trade facilitation and real estate investments. The incumbent will work closely with financial institutions, investors, and regulatory bodies to optimize ATC’s financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Budgeting
- Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cost optimization strategies.
- Oversee financial modeling and analysis to support trade-related real estate investments and infrastructure projects.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulatory requirements, and international accounting standards.
- Investment & Risk Management
- Identify and evaluate trade and real estate investment opportunities, structuring deals for profitability and sustainability.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks, credit exposures, and market fluctuations.
- Work with financial institutions to secure funding, loans, and capital for ATC expansion projects.
Financial Operations & Compliance
- Oversee financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and treasury functions.
- Ensure adherence to banking regulations, tax policies, and financial governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline procurement, contract management, and payment processes.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, investors, trade finance institutions, and government agencies.
- Lead negotiations for trade financing, public-private partnerships (PPPs), and infrastructure funding.
- Represent ATC Global in financial forums, investment summits, and trade discussions.
Qualifications & Experience / Education & Certifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional Experience
- 10+ years of experience in corporate finance, investment analysis, trade finance, or real estate finance.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, risk management, and capital markets.
