Senior Manager - Corporate Secretarial

Are you a seasoned professional with a strong background in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and leadership? Our client, a leading organisation in the Global Business Sector based in Mauritius, is seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Corporate Secretarial to lead their corporate secretarial team and drive excellence across their portfolio of global business companies, trusts, and other entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the corporate secretarial team, ensuring high-quality board services and company secretarial functions.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients managing structures such as Global Business Companies, special license companies, Authorised Companies, IBCs, domestic companies, and trusts.
  • Masterfully interpret legal frameworks and contribute to the development of innovative financial products.
  • Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) procedures, statutory requirements, and corporate governance best practices.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, law firms, auditors, regulators, and authorities.
  • Represent the organisation by sitting on the boards of portfolio companies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified ACCA or ICSA (Chartered Governance Institute), or a Master’s degree in finance and law.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the Global Business Sector, including 3+ years in a managerial position.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • A thorough understanding of corporate secretarial functions, procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Satisfies Regulator’s requirements for being a “fit and proper person.”
