An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join a leading global mining company. This role is pivotal in the design and development of compensation and benefits structures, ensuring a holistic approach to Employee Value Proposition (EVP) development. What you'll do:

As a Compensation & Benefits Specialist, you will play a crucial role in shaping the organisation's EVP by developing comprehensive compensation and benefits strategies. You will conduct thorough market research on benefit plans, preparing detailed benchmarking reports for management. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing reward and benefit plans that align with both local and global best practices. You will also manage the annual salary review cycle, ensuring smooth transitions from end-to-end. Your role will involve continuous research into changes in the compensation landscape, consulting with management on the implementation of reward programs.

  • Develop strategies regarding compensation and benefits for implementation
  • Conduct market research on benefit plans to gain an understanding of local and global leading practices
  • Prepare benchmarking reports for management
  • Design and develop a reward and benefit plan and obtain required approvals
  • Update policies, processes, and guidelines regarding compensation and benefits
  • Manage annual salary and bonus review cycle (end-to-end) for hand-off to payroll
  • Provide management with generation of employee salary packages to ensure alignment with market and internal pay equity
  • Conduct ongoing research to identify changes in the compensation, benefits, and reward landscape (country specific)
  • Consult with management on the implementation and alignment of reward and benefit program

The ideal Compensation & Benefits Specialist brings a wealth of experience in the mining industry, specifically in compensation and benefits roles. She possesses strong knowledge of job evaluation methodologies, as well as experience in compiling and managing expenditure budgets. Her analytical, statistical, and qualitative skills are top-notch, complemented by advanced computer skills. She has a deep understanding of local and international labour laws, along with extensive rewards and benefits knowledge. Her strategic thinking ability allows her to make informed decisions that align with the organisation's goals.

  • Minimum 7 years compensation and benefits experience within mining industry
