HR and Payroll Consultant

Our client is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Operations & Payroll Consultant to support the HR team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the efficient and accurate delivery of payroll services to both internal and external clients. Key duties include processing timely employee payments, compiling and managing payroll information, preparing payroll, completing and submitting legislative reports, and maintaining precise records.

  • Processing all payroll data onto SAGE 300.
  • Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.
  • Provides payroll information and answers any questions and requests related to payroll and benefits.
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable earnings.
  • Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee taxes, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.
  • Maintains payroll guidelines by guiding and updating policies and procedures. • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Loading of all new employees
  • Reconciliation and balancing of medical aid recons.
  • Reconciliation and balancing of Funeral, Pension and Risk billing with Momentum’s recon.
  • Load new starters on ESS and attend to all related ESS queries.
  • Administration rights on ESS to approve/ cancel leave.
  • Confirming employment
  • Responsible for compiling monthly payroll.
  • Import payslips into ESS.
  • Filing of all payroll related documents
  • Submission of COIDA, UIF, WSP &ATR annual reports.
