An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned HR Consultant with a focus on Organisational Effectiveness. This role is based in the vibrant and culturally rich location of Cameroon. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team working for a leading private equity fund that focuses on growth and buyout capital investments in small and medium enterprises, primarily in Francophone West and Central Africa. What you'll do:

As an HR Consultant focusing on Organisational Effectiveness, you will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities to enhance talent management processes. You will translate complex human capital practices into practical business solutions, working collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Your remit will include overseeing the design and implementation of comprehensive succession planning processes. You will demonstrate your exceptional interpersonal skills when dealing with all levels of HR and business management. Your ability to diagnose and assess issues at various organisational levels will be crucial in this role. You will also support key HR systems such as Performance Management, Succession Planning, Talent Review to drive improved performance and development. Your role will involve researching, recommending and implementing strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing organisational effectiveness.

  • Identify business needs and opportunities to improve talent management processes in conjunction with other human resources teams and senior leadership.
  • Translate human capital practices into practical business solutions within cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of system-wide succession planning processes.
  • Demonstrate consultative, relationship building, interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of HR and business management.
  • Diagnose and assess individual, group, departmental or organisational issues by collecting data through various organisational development methods.
  • Support key HR systems including Performance Management, Succession Planning, Talent Review to drive improved performance and development.
  • Research, recommend and implement organisational effectiveness strategic initiatives for improving the organisation’s overall effectiveness.
  • Coach, mentor and provide appropriate feedback on performance management issues.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the HR Consultant (Organisational Effectiveness) role will bring a wealth of experience and a strong educational background. You will have a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology or business administration, with an MBA being beneficial. Your career history will demonstrate a minimum of 5-8 years progressive leadership in human resource management or a comparable area. Your experience in consulting and providing strategic recommendations using a structured methodology will be crucial to your success in this role. You will also have solid experience in measurement/analytics to support fact-based decision making. Your ability to engage senior leaders in strategic organisational effectiveness discussions will set you apart.

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology or business administration; MBA beneficial
  • Minimum 5-8 years progressive leadership in human resource management or comparable area
  • Experience in consulting, providing strategic recommendations using a structured methodology
  • Experience in measurement/analytics (data collection, analysis, interpretation) to support fact-based decision making
