Position Overview: We are in search of a dedicated and highly capable Cybersecurity Team Lead to collaborate closely with our Information Technology (IT) team. This integral role involves protecting our organisation from the ever-evolving landscape of cyber threats by overseeing vigilant system monitoring and rapid threat evaluation. The ideal candidate will possess not only robust technical expertise but also effective leadership skills to nurture a cohesive and proficient cybersecurity team. This position requires adherence to our services department criteria and a willingness to align with our practice's demands and team objectives, including occasional overtime commitments

Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide the cybersecurity team, overseeing the execution of a diverse spectrum of proactive and reactive security measures.
• Supervise the swift and efficient triage and analysis of security events and incidents, employing sound problem-solving strategies to determine scope, urgency, and potential consequences.
• Manage the comprehensive delivery of our Managed Assurance Service, including:
• Conducting vulnerability scans and in-depth analyses.
• Delivering user security awareness training sessions.
• Executing social engineering tests to enhance our defences.
• Delegate the formulation and distribution of regular reports to our valued clientele, derived from the services rendered.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely resolution of security incidents and adherence to vulnerability standards.
• Take ownership of elevating customer satisfaction levels and continuously striving for operational excellence.
• Foster an environment where the team is driven to continually enhance their understanding of the evolving threat landscape, cultivating expertise in threat factors, tactics, techniques, and vulnerabilities.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Demonstrated 3-5 years of experience in a Cybersecurity Team Leadership role or a similar capacity.
• Proficiency in the realm of information security or a closely related domain.
• Profound familiarity with computer network penetration testing methodologies and associated techniques.
• Sound understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM systems, antivirus software, and IDPS concepts.
• Ability to adeptly identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities, coupled with the ability to effectively communicate avoidance strategies.
• A heightened awareness of relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations, including but not limited to NIST, CIS, ISO 27001.

Qualifications Required:

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Required: Either CompTIA Security+ OR CompTIA CySA+ certification.
• Required: Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals certification.
• Preferred: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst certification.
• Any of the following highly desired: CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM certifications.
