You will be responsible for handling a wide range of maritime-related cases, transactions, and legal matters. Your primary responsibilities will include: 1. Client Representation: Advising and representing clients in maritime disputes, including cargo claims, vessel collisions, salvage claims, and maritime personal injury cases. Providing legal counsel to shipowners, operators, insurers, and other maritime stakeholders. 2. Legal Research and Analysis: Conducting thorough legal research to stay up-to-date with maritime laws, regulations, and precedents. Analyzing complex legal issues and providing clear, actionable advice to clients. 3. Drafting Legal Documents: Preparing legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, motions, and briefs related to maritime cases and transactions. Reviewing and drafting charter parties, bills of lading, and other maritime agreements. 4. Negotiation and Dispute Resolution: Engaging in negotiations and settlement discussions on behalf of clients to resolve maritime disputes efficiently. Representing clients in arbitration or mediation proceedings, if necessary. 5. Compliance and Regulatory Matters: Assisting clients in ensuring compliance with international and domestic maritime regulations. Offering guidance on environmental regulations, customs issues, and maritime security. 6. Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong client relationships by providing high-quality legal services and personalized attention. Collaborating with other team members to meet client needs effectively. 7. Legal Strategy Development: Developing and implementing legal strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients. Providing risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses to guide clients' decision-making.
