This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage the generation of new business within your designated industry vertical through active marketing and establishing long-term business relationships with target accounts. You will be responsible for selling the company’s primary products and supply chain solutions both locally and internationally, following a structured sales approach. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to lead, take charge, offer opinions and direction, and think outside the box to find solutions that meet clients' needs. * Opportunity to manage new business generation within your designated industry vertical * Responsibility for selling primary products and supply chain solutions both locally and internationally * Role requires leadership, innovation, and problem-solving skills What you'll do: As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth by managing new business generation within your designated industry vertical. Your primary role will involve prospecting, developing, and managing new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and identifying potential new businesses. You will also be responsible for an Industry Vertical's growth profit and revenue growth. Your ability to understand operations and analyse a client's needs effectively will be crucial in this role. Additionally, you will present and consult at senior management level on business trends with a view to developing new service offerings. * Manage your own Sales Target and ensure financial responsibility of team members * Utilise the CRM system optimally for efficient operations * Take on responsibilities and challenges with a willingness to lead and offer direction * Prospect, develop and manage new business opportunities through networking and cold calling * Responsible for an Industry Vertical's growth profit and revenue growth * Understand operations and analyse a client's needs effectively * Present and consult at senior management level on business trends with a view to developing new service offerings

What you bring:

The ideal Business Development Manager will bring a wealth of sales experience to the role, with at least 5-10 years in the field. The candidate should have worked in a similar role before, demonstrating your ability to manage and lead a team effectively. Must have strong sales experience and solid working knowledge of sales, business development, and strategic selling methodologies will be crucial in this role. A proven track record in Freight Forwarding, Clearing, Contract Logistics and/or 3/4 PL is a must, as is E2E Supply Chain experience. You should also have a deep understanding of the principles and processes for providing a high level of customer service.

  • At least 5 to 10 years Sales Experience, preferably in the 3/4 PL and/or Freight Forwarding Industry
  • Demonstrable ability to manage and lead a team
  • Strong sales experience with solid working knowledge of sales, business development and strategic selling methodologies
  • Proven track record in Freight Forwarding, Clearing, Contract Logistics and/or 3/4 PL
  • E2E Supply Chain experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing a high level of customer service
