Our client, a leading player in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Business Development Manager to join their team. What you'll do:

As a Commercial Business Development Manager, your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our client's operations. You will be responsible for end-to-end processes for strategic business development, including developing client relationships, identifying sales leads, and driving strategic growth. Your ability to facilitate C-suite negotiations will be key in closing larger deals. Working closely with the Engineering team, you'll optimise customer value through proposed solutions. Your foresight will help anticipate major market changes, maintaining the company's leadership position.

  • Identify and qualify sales leads, build pipeline and drive strategic growth of the business
  • Facilitate C-suite negotiations and closing of larger deals
  • Work closely with Engineering to optimise customer value through proposed solutions
  • Anticipate and react to major market changes to maintain company leadership
  • Identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company’s sales and market capture strategy

What you bring:

As a Commercial Business Development Manager, you bring a wealth of experience and skills to this role. With a degree in a related field, you possess a high level of commercial acumen. Your professional communication skills enable you to engage effectively at all levels up to C-level. Your ability to identify and convert sales opportunities is matched by your analytical skills, strategic thinking, decision making and problem-solving abilities. You are adept at articulating value propositions to both technical and financial audiences.

  • 8 - 10+ years relevant experience
  • Degree Qualified in related field
  • A "Hunter" with a high level of commercial acumen
  • Professional communication skills at all levels up to c-level
  • Ability to identify and convert sales opportunities
  • Analytical skills, strategic thinking, decision making and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to articulate value to both technical and financial audiences
