Product Specialist (Medical)

A leading non-profit organisation is looking for a Product Specialist to join their team in Nigeria and will play a pivotal role in scaling the distribution and utilization of POCUS devices across East and West Africa. This role involves working closely with local medical equipment distributors, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to introduce, promote, and scale POCUS technology.- (Ventilators & Ultrasounds)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Vayu CPAP and POCUS products, including their features, benefits, and clinical applications.
  • Stay updated on the latest clinical guidelines, research, and trends related to respiratory therapy and point-of-care ultrasound.
  • Develop and implement strategies to introduce POCUS devices into the local markets.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities, challenges, and the competitive landscape.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local medical equipment distributors and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and engage potential customers, including hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals.
  • Create and execute promotional campaigns to raise awareness about the benefits of POCUS technology.
  • Develop educational materials and conduct training sessions for healthcare providers on the use and maintenance of POCUS devices.
  • Train and educate healthcare providers on the proper use and maintenance of Vayu CPAP and POCUS devices.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs, workshops, and webinars to enhance customer knowledge and proficiency.
  • Provide technical support to distributors and end-users, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge to operate and troubleshoot POCUS devices.
  • Gather feedback from customers and end-users to identify areas for product improvement and innovation.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor products, and customer needs to provide insights for product development.
  • Engage with healthcare institutions, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations to advocate for the adoption of POCUS technology.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and decision-makers in the healthcare sector.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical or technical support role within the medical device industry working with POCUS and CPAP.
  • Prior experience with POCUS.
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Radiography, Sonography, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, business, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape in East and West Africa.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and technical proficiency in respiratory therapy and ultrasound.
