Data Analyst

You will take a lead on Data and Analytics Strategy in the comapny. As the Data Analyst, you will plan all business and technical aspects of different data and analytics systems and platforms. You will Understand features and properties, ensure data integrity of new and existing tracking, and own the maintenance and administrative functions of these systems and platforms. Part of your role will be to collect business requirements using a variety of methods

• Design models that will track various metrics across the business (actual vs planned design
• outcomes)
• Manage and query data using “best of breed” platforms ensuring data is accessible and actionable for stakeholders.
• Expert documentation of data architecture for data sources, metadata, and productionized information flow
• Identifying and consulting on ways to improve data processing, reliability, efficiency, and quality, as well as solution cost and performance
• Define, design and implement technical infrastructure requirements
• Understanding and application of Big Data and distributed computing principles
• Define and implement data modeling principles and the ability to work with complex data models.
• Evaluate and help maintain our data assets and data sets.
• Design and assist in the optimization of our Data Warehouse / Data Lake and Reporting
• Development, testing and administration of BI models (tabular, SSIS, SSAS & Visual Studio)
• Define best practices and standards for the data modelling process
• Explore and recommend emerging technologies and techniques to support/enhance the existing BI infrastructure
• Serve as the primary support for Microsoft Dynamics environment to include system backup, maintenance, patch updates, error logs, and release management.
• Manage and maintain user permissions, security roles and security teams.
• Optimize data flow and integration between core systems, data platforms, and external data providers.
• Define data mapping and transformation rules between source and data warehouse and data lake.
• Proficiency in data manipulation, including structured data tools (e.g., SQL) and
• unstructured data tools and platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL).
• Expert in data manipulation skills including SQL to extract, transform and load data
• Provide analytical and statistical solutions with an understanding of the latest machine learning algorithms for both structured and unstructured data
• Provide API first integration between application and data layer.
• Interface with other technical personnel or team members to deliver requirements.
• Manage data quality for ETL audits, error handling and controls to ensure quality of the data and the ETL process
• Collaborate with team to assist in advanced analytics capabilities
• Documentation of BI Models.
• System Administration
• Provide field support by answering questions or handling helpdesk tickets/escalations.
• Ensure that data in Dynamics is accurate and protected against unauthorized access.
• Monitor Dynamics operations and conduct performance analysis to assess options for optimizing and configuring the system.
