An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a leading global private equity and investment advisory firm in Cape Town.
As the Finance Manager within this thriving business, you will play a pivotal role within the US Financial Operations Team. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks including reporting, analysis, budgeting, process improvement, and systems integration.
The Finance Manager will have the opportunity to bring together vast cross-border resources quickly to acquire high-quality companies and develop them to their full potential.
Key qualifications and experience required for the Finance Manager:
Fully qualified CA(SA) or similar (i.e., CIMA, ACCA etc.)
Min. 2 years post qualified experience within the Financial Services sector
Background in Asset Management or Private Equity would be preferred
Proven track record of working in corporate finance, operations, and/or accounting roles
Advanced knowledge of Excel (i.e., V-Lookups, SumIfs, CountIfs, Pivot Tables, Filtering and Sorting)
Exposure to working with US clients/cross-board with the US would be advantageous
Key duties of the Finance Manager:
Assist with monthly reporting review and various Group Finance-related account analysis and projects
Oversee controls relating to employee use of corporate accounts, T&E policy, approval matrix, corporate credit card, vendor management, and other related matters
Support the budgeting and forecasting process, paying attention to materiality, variances to prior year and budget and trends
Act as the US liaison in global systems improvements and projects to connect the various systems internally
Dive into details and conduct investigations, summarising and highlighting main points to senior staff
