Our client is seeking a Financial Accountant with a focus on Real Estate Services based in Pretoria. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support five Real Estate Investments, with the potential to service more as part of a larger team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and complete financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory provisions, forecasting, budgeting, and managing cash flow.
What you'll do: As a Financial Accountant in Real Estate Services, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with regulatory provisions. Your responsibilities will include developing management accounts, preparing vat returns, liaising with business partners, preparing for annual audits, reviewing monthly results, and establishing budget guidelines. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to new business development by preparing financial models and identifying profitability opportunities.
Develop and maintain timely and accurate management accounts and reports in accordance with IFRS for SME’s
Prepare and submit bi-monthly vat returns for business partners
Liaise with external business partners to ensure external data is correctly reported as financial data
Prepare supporting information for annual audit and liaise with the Boards’ audit committee
Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting & MIS
Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation, and prepare annual budget in consultation with the partners
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Financial Accountant role will bring a wealth of experience in financial accounting within the real estate sector.
SAIPA/CIMA qualification is required
2-10 years of relevant experience in financial accounting
Ability to work proficiently on Excel and Xero/Pastel
Strong communication skills are essential
Experience in outsourced service process is beneficial
High EQ and learning orientation are desirable
