With extensive reach and commitment to excellence, the organisation strives to offer world-class services and solutions to their clients. Join the team in this specialist position and be a part of the mission to ensure seamless trade compliance in the ever-evolving world of international trade. Working alongside a dedicated team, through innovative technologies, and with an extensive global reach. As the Trade Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for the processes and procedures by which goods enter and exit a country, adhering to laws, rules, regulations, and requirements.
Key qualifications for the Trade Compliance Specialist:
• University undergraduate degree in any field
• Honours degree advantageous
• 2+ years of experience in a relevant field
• Strong Research and Data analytical skills (essential)
• Excellent High School and University Results – NB
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - NB
Key duties for the Trade Compliance Specialist include but are not limited to:
• Proficient in duties, taxes, levies, and product classification
• Knowledgeable about licensing, permit requirements, and product testing and certification
• Expertise in sourcing product compliance documents
• Effective communication of compliance requirements to external OEM's and Tech Manufacturers
• Clear communication with internal service/shipping teams regarding compliance
• Offering optimised and accurate trade compliance solutions
• Ensuring successful shipment clearance and excellent client service
• Utilising system data for data-driven decision-making
• Optimisation of work flows for increased shipment speed and success
Key personal skills for a successful Trade Compliance Specialist:
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Detail-oriented and proactive.
• Strong interpersonal skills, as you will be dealing with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to coordinate large high-value projects and manage all project elements successfully.
• Analytical and research-driven problem solver.
