Financial Accountant (6-month contract)

Our client is a leading player in the fintech industry, is currently seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Financial Accountants to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg.

What you'll do:

• Achieve in-depth knowledge of process flows, operational requirements and system design
• Perform revenue assurance checks to align billing system to partner contracts
• Follow up on all outstanding receivables and ensure payables are settled within SLAs
• Review and approve reconciliations performed by the Reconciliation and Settlement team
• Identify reconciliation issues and escalate them to responsible parties
• Compile audit working papers and supporting documentation to meet external audit requirements
• Drive for results and implement best practices within daily operations

What you bring:

• Part qualified or newly qualified CA(SA)
• Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills
• External audit experience would be highly advantageous
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience in process automation
• Experience with working with large data volumes
