Accounts Receivable Clerk

Robert Walters has partnered up with a leading financial services firm based in Mauritius is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support their accounting team and maintain accurate customer payment records.

This role is critical in ensuring the company’s financial health by managing customer invoices, tracking incoming payments, and following up on overdue accounts. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Accountant to maintain strong cash flow processes and ensure compliance with internal policies.

Key Qualifications:

  • A diploma or degree in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Netsuite (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Key Duties:

  • Generate and send invoices for products or services rendered
  • Accurately record and track all incoming customer payments
  • Reconcile accounts and match payments to outstanding invoices
  • Follow up on overdue payments and resolve outstanding balances
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Key Personal Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and receivables processes
