They are seeking a Manager for their African Trade Centre Global portfolio, focusing on Human Resources and Administration. This role is pivotal in leading HR strategy, talent acquisition, workforce planning, labour outsourcing and administrative functions. The successful candidate will ensure HR policies, compliance, and best practices are implemented while optimizing organizational structure, employee engagement, and administrative efficiency to support trade facilitation initiatives.

What you'll do:

As the Manager of the African Trade Centre Global (HR & Administration), you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of trade in Africa. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the HR strategy and talent acquisition within the global portfolio. You will oversee recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning while managing employee relations, compensation structures, and benefits administration. Your expertise in implementing performance management frameworks will ensure alignment with KPIs and organizational goals. You will also manage the selection, engagement, and performance of labour brokerage and outsourcing companies. In addition to your HR responsibilities, you will oversee office administration, facilities management, and operational efficiency at global offices.

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to attract and retain top talent.
  • Manage employee relations, compensation structures, and benefits administration.
  • Implement performance management frameworks, ensuring alignment with KPIs and organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and global HR best practices.
  • Manage the selection, engagement, and performance of labour brokerage and outsourcing companies.
  • Oversee office administration, facilities management, and operational efficiency at global offices.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, trade partners, and internal teams to enhance HR and administrative functions.

What you bring:

As an ideal candidate for the Manager: African Trade Centre Global (HR & Administration) position, you bring a wealth of experience in human resources and administration within a multinational environment. With your Master's degree in Human Resources or related field coupled with over 10 years of leadership experience in this domain; you have developed strong knowledge of labour laws, HR policies, and talent acquisition strategies. Your proven experience in performance management, employee engagement, and organisational development will be key to fostering a high-performance culture within the organisation. Your proficiency in HRMS, payroll systems, and digital HR platforms will be instrumental in leading the HR digital transformation within the organisation.

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Development or related field.
  • 10+ years of HR and administrative leadership experience in a multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR policies, and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Proven experience in performance management, employee engagement, and organisational development.
  • Proficiency in HRMS, payroll systems, and digital HR platforms.
  • Fluency in English (French or another African language is a plus).
