Corporate, Commercial and Litigation Associates required for our client's firm based in Rosebank, Johannesburg. The Role

The successful candidate will support on a wide range of matters with their aviation, franchise and general business clients. There is also opportunity to be involved in regulatory and compliance work and commercial based litigation.

They will be required to guide and develop the skills of the firm’s candidate attorney, brief counsel, hold consultations with clients and prepare notices and pleadings.

Qualifications & Skills

• Admitted Attorney with between 2 and 5 years’ experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Clarity of commercial thinking: understanding the commercial drivers of client’s business.

The Team

Our client's team has experience with transactions involving all types of business, and on the aviation side with aircraft and financing transactions and structures.

They act for mostly established and well known private companies, airlines, aircraft lessors, franchisors and insolvency practitioners.

They also advise and act on commercial disputes, and act on behalf of major international debt companies.

Essential Skills & Experience

• The successful candidate will be an admitted Attorney with right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa;
• Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales will be an advantage;
• Experience working with aviation clients will be advantageous; and
• Caselines and Court Online experience mandatory.
