Country Director

A multinational company specializing geo-data, geophysical and survey services in the marine and oil & gas sector is looking for an experienced business leader to join their organisation in the role of Country Director for Egypt.

Role responsibilities:

• Supports the regional business and service lines by
• Optimal and cost-effective deployment of people and assets within their country of responsibility
• Being responsible for all aspects of the business activities
• Winning local project opportunities with the Country Service Line Directors/Managers
• Developing and delivering the country strategy
• Developing and maintaining client satisfaction, sustainable revenue and profit growth
• Successfully applying innovative solutions
• Hosting and facilitating all required activities for safe, optimised and efficient business operations and deployment of people, assets and equipment
• Acting as the country representative to stakeholders in the country, including representing the company in engagement with potential and existing clients
• Leading the local office facilities and, if applicable, managing the country-based functional support organisation, ensuring compliance with all local statutory, legal, employment and tax laws and
• Representing the management of the company to local works councils

Candidate requirements:

• Degree in Business or a Technical field
• Senior Management experience in Egypt or the middle east region is essential
• Previous experience in the marine or oil & gas sector would be prefered
• Good communication skills, good people management skills and someone with the ability to innovate and drive change
• Key stakeholder management experience including Government, media, senior executives in client organisations, suppliers, subcontractors, financial institutions, industry organisations, local authorities, unions, NGO’s and/or universities
• Fluency in Arabic & English
