Purpose of the Role
The IM Enterprise Architect – Integration will define and govern the enterprise integration architecture across IT and OT environments (cloud and on-premises). This role ensures architectural alignment with business objectives, cost optimisation, risk mitigation, and sustainability goals.
The role is key to enabling scalable, secure, and cost-efficient integration strategies that support digital transformation and operational improvement in a complex industrial environment.

Develop and maintain enterprise integration strategy, framework, standards, and roadmaps.

Drive the enterprise architecture (EA) practice as an internal management consultancy.

Define and enforce architecture guardrails and reference patterns.

Evaluate and standardise integration technologies to support innovation and efficiency.

Lead cloud and hybrid integration strategies.

Analyse and optimise integration costs.

Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with business leaders, the CIO, IT, and security functions.

Drive change management and technology adoption across the organisation.

Provide technical guidance to infrastructure, application, and data teams.

Stay informed on emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, system analysis, or equivalent experience.

Desirable: Master's degree in a related field.
Certifications

Required: Enterprise Architecture frameworks; valid EB/Code 08 driver’s licence.

Desirable: Cloud architecture, IT governance and security certifications.
Experience
5–7 years in:
-
Integration architecture, cloud architecture, or digital transformation.

Leading cross-functional teams during cloud migrations.
-
Infrastructure modernisation and automation in large enterprises.
-
Vendor and contract management.
-
Navigating regulatory compliance, particularly in data security and privacy.
-
Mining or similar industrial sector experience preferred.
Technical Knowledge

Strong expertise in APIs, middleware, and system integration technologies.
-
Cloud computing, data governance, and data platform design.
-
Microservices, DevOps, CI/CD, streaming/event-driven architecture.
-
Data modeling, data lakes, and data warehousing technologies.
-
Knowledge of integration security best practices and privacy regulations.
Technical Skills

Enterprise integration across IT/OT environments.

Advanced skills in cloud platforms and data governance.

Developing capabilities in AI/ML and analytics platforms.
