Our client is a globally recognised alternative investment. They are currently seeking a highly motivated and proactive Operations Analyst to join their operations team based in Cape Town immediately. This role offers the opportunity to work within a high-performance culture that values continual performance improvement, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

As a Operations Analyst, you will be the subject matter expert for the function you support. You will handle:

  • Daily review and maintenance of trade data in relevant systems
  • Identify and resolve breaks timely and accurately
  • Responsible for all LMA Par/Distressed Settlements and Bond Settlements
  • Management of the trade lifecycle for loans and bonds
  • Work closely with Fund Accountants to prioritize trade settlements
  • Report on any aged, unsettled trades, unallocated trades, and short positions
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and vendors
  • Elect and process Amendments and Corporate Actions

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Operations Analyst role should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Computing or a Quantitative field
  • Knowledge of Loan Market Association (LMA), Loan Syndication and Trading Association (LSTA) Par and Distressed Documentation
  • Experience around Bond settlements and processing
  • Familiarity with WSO (Wall Street Office) and Clear Par or relevant knowledge
  • Strong Corporate Action election and processing experience
  • Ability to establish strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Change mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
