Chief of Staff
An established and growing investment firm is seeking a highly capable Chief of Staff to work directly with its leadership team and help drive the next phase of growth. This is a high-trust, high-impact role for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing strategy, operations, investor engagement, marketing, people processes, and project execution.
About the Opportunity
The firm invests in high-growth businesses across Africa and has built a strong track record of supporting entrepreneurial ventures through various stages of growth. With assets under management continuing to expand and operations becoming increasingly sophisticated, the leadership team is looking for a Chief of Staff to ensure key initiatives, communications, and operational priorities are executed effectively.
Working closely with the Partners, you will play a central role in keeping the business running smoothly, coordinating important projects, supporting investor engagement, and enabling the team to operate at its best.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Relations & Capital Raising Support
- Coordinate investor presentations, reports, newsletters, and communication cycles
- Maintain investor records and CRM systems
- Support the administration of periodic capital calls
- Coordinate investor events and engagement activities
- Work closely with finance and external stakeholders to ensure information flows efficiently
Marketing & Communications
- Manage social media channels and digital presence
- Maintain and update the company website
- Draft and coordinate announcements, articles, and PR initiatives
- Develop presentations, company profiles, and marketing collateral
- Support event planning and promotional activities
HR & Office Operations
- Coordinate recruitment processes from job advertising through candidate management
- Manage onboarding activities for new team members
- Organise team events, meetings, and calendars
- Oversee office administration and day-to-day operational requirements
- Support a productive, high-performing workplace culture
Project Management & Executive Support
- Drive strategic initiatives on behalf of leadership
- Track and coordinate projects through to completion
- Prepare meeting packs, presentations, and board materials
- Anticipate needs, remove obstacles, and ensure deadlines are met
- Coordinate activities across multiple functions and stakeholders
Experience required:
- 5-8 years of professional experience in operations, consulting, project management, executive support, or a similar generalist role
- Experience within financial services, venture capital, private equity, or investment environments is advantageous but not essential
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, investors, and executives
- Strong commercial and numerical literacy
