Fund Operations & Reporting Associate
A prestigious global private markets manager is seeking a Fund Operations and Reporting Associate to join their Cape Town office. What you'll do:
As a Fund Operations and Reporting Associate, you will play a pivotal role in managing investor data within secure portals.
- Maintain and update investor data daily within secure portals such as Intralinks or future investor platforms
- Handle uploads, file replacements, and document management efficiently, acting as the primary point of contact for all investor-related information
- Respond promptly to queries from internal stakeholders and investors, escalating issues appropriately when required to ensure swift resolution
- Monitor and manage shared mailboxes diligently, prioritising requests and ensuring all actions are completed as soon as possible
- Communicate consistently with various teams across the business at all levels, fostering strong inter-personal connections and facilitating smooth information flow
- Support other team members by sharing knowledge, assisting with tasks, and contributing positively to communal goals
- Adapt quickly to new technologies and services as they become available, demonstrating enthusiasm for learning and growth
- Document processes thoroughly, updating them regularly to enhance efficiency and streamline operations wherever possible
- Collaborate with teams such as Client & Product Solutions, Tax, Legal, Compliance, Fund Operations & Reporting to identify opportunities for automation of manual tasks
- Take ownership of ad hoc requirements as they arise, ensuring completion with professionalism and accountability
What you bring:
To excel as a Fund Operations and Reporting Associate, you will bring
- Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in customer service, fund operations/administration, investor services, or similar financial/private equity roles.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with Windows 10/11.
- Experience with data management processes and reporting responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders/investors across various seniority levels.
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to high-quality work and exceeding expectations.
- Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities.
- Analytical and numerical proficiency for solving complex challenges effectively.
