Analyst (Financial Institutions)

Our client, a multinational financial institution is hiring for an Analyst focused on Financial Institutions reporting, to be based in Lagos. The successful candidate must demonstrate knowledge in credit/risk assessment, including strong financial institutions, insurance, and non-bank financial institutions analysis experience.

Role responsibilities:

Analysis:

• Write in-depth, high-quality, and focused research on credit trends, including thought-leading reports on financial institutions, insurance, and non-bank financial institutions.
• Become a recognised authority on your portfolio of rated financial institutions, insurance, and non-bank financial institutions.
• Ability to analyse and interpret financial statements.
• Good understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standard

Candidate requirements:

• Strong academic background at least equivalent to a BSc in a relevant area and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• ACA/ACCA/CFA/CIMA professional qualification would be highly beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of Nigeria’s financial services sectors, their regulatory environment, and the key issues affecting the various economic sectors/the main players and key industry drivers.
• Strong quantitative aptitude and proven analytical skills.
• Write timely and effective research on topical issues.
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
