The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the impact and performance of the organisation, focusing on its future strategy while also overseeing key day-to-day operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to become the public face of a respected institution, shaping its direction and growth. The CEO will need to quickly understand various processes within the organisation and how they impact retention, services, and organisational growth. * Lead the strategic direction of the organisation * Manage key stakeholder relationships * Oversee day-to-day operations What you'll do: As Chief Executive Officer, you will be at the helm of our client's organisation. Your primary responsibility will be leading the impact and performance of the organisation. You will focus on setting the direction and future strategy while also having skills in key organisational day-to-day operations. You will work closely with various stakeholders including government entities like National Treasury, SARS, Tax Ombud, South African Qualifications Authority, Quality Council for Trades and Occupations among others. Your role will also involve managing media relations, ensuring effective communication with the public to maintain the organisation's status. * Provide thoughtful and visionary executive leadership that is inclusive, transparent, and empowering * Present strategic options and plans for organisational impact and gain Board approval * Contribute to the strategic plan and drive its implementation * Work with external stakeholders to develop collaborations and address government policies and operations uniquely impacting tax professionals * Organise, motivate and mentor internal team leaders to strategically grow the organisation's impact and programmes * Inspire a professional, results-driven environment across the organisation
