Robert Walters wins Innovation of the Year at the Firm Awards 2022

On Tuesday 14th June 2022, Robert Walters won Innovation of the Year at the Firm Awards 2022. This category recognises exceptional and outstanding innovation in any aspect of the recruitment life cycle within a single organisation or team.

Our Recruitment Inclusivity Audit takes an in-depth look at an organisation’s recruitment practices, spanning seven Diversity & Inclusion lenses – age, ethnicity, disability and neurodiversity, LGBTQ+, age, socio-economic background, and faith – across 12 stages of the candidate journey. The judges praised the audit as “an exciting and effective innovation aimed at tackling one of the most disruptive derailers of hiring plans: humans and our biases.”

We apply the findings of over 100 respected academic research papers and studies to unearth the hidden biases that may be embedded in an organisation’s recruitment processes. In order to enable organisations to action meaningful change, we provide an immediate to-do list with recommendations for minimising bias, wherever they are on their diverse hiring journey.

We’re so proud of the pioneering work our Innovation team have done to develop what we believe is the most advanced diversity audit available, and this recognition from the Firm Awards is very well deserved.

The Consultancy Practice at Robert Walters comprises Practice Leads who individually own specialisms including – but not limited to – Diverse Hiring, Digital Transformation, Data and Intelligence, and Brand and Experience. The function works in partnership with our Account teams and clients to ensure we are continuously developing by questioning the ways we recruit talent – both for our clients, and for ourselves.

One-of-a-kind Recruitment Inclusivity Audit – We analyse bias at every stage in a recruitment process through seven diversity dimensions. The audit is entirely informed by peer-reviewed academic research and industry best practice. We’re confident no one else offers this service.

Zero sales targets, zero commission – Our Diverse Hiring practitioners offer impartial advice and only offer auditing work where it is needed and can enable meaningful change.
